I bought these for occasional foundry work, for protection against molten aluminum splash. Thought the slip on would be a good idea in the event I need to remove them quickly. Slightly hesitant because of the top protector, and having slip ons that are this bulky. Well, they work great. Comfortable, much more flexible than I expected, and they fit well. The top protector isn't even noticeable. They're 4lb 10oz a pair for size 10.5, so lighter than I guessed they'd be, and that's with heavy leather. All said, happy.
